GET READY FOR A SUMMER OF MISCHIEF AT ST HELENS LIBRARIES!
Look out for Dennis, Gnasher and the rest of the gang – as they make their way to St Helens Libraries for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge – Mischief Makers!
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays, and children can take part by reading six library books of their choice. It’s free to sign up and participate in Mischief Makers at your local library, with exclusive rewards to collect along the way!
There will also be a host of special events to celebrate the Beano’s 80th Anniversary including launch parties, read and rhyme times, pets as therapy sessions and unique performances – Contact your local Library for full details of what’s happening.
The summer of reading reaches peak mischief with ‘The BIG POETRY BEANO’ on Friday 10th August: a fun-filled interactive show with performer Craig Bradley, aka ‘That Poetry Bloke’.
The mad-cap performer’s show will feature stories, songs, jokes and poems about the Beano and you can even try your hand at writing your own poem too.
There are a number of performances throughout the day:
• Moss Bank Library – 10am
• Rainhill Library – 11:45am
• Thatto Heath Library – 2pm
• Rainford Library – 4pm
This show is FREE but booking is required.
