We are taking part in the first regional Libraries Connected North West Learn Fest this month.

The two-week long festival, from Monday 10 September to Monday 24 September, aims to bring learning to life and will offer opportunities to try something new, develop skills and to learn new things.

Our event in St Helens Libraries will be centred on coding, and aimed at children and their families.

For the younger children (under 5s & 5 – 8 year olds) we have basic coding session that will look at sequencing, problem solving, logic and critical thinking all the help of our new coding toys: code-a-pillar, Botley and Jack the coding mouse.

For older children (8 – 11 year olds), we will create your own Rock-Paper-Scissors game using Microbits, where you can then compete against other coders.
