Do you have what it takes to complete the Adult Reading Challenge 2022 with St Helens Library Service?

All you have to do is pop along to your nearest library and collect a reading challenge card, then each month find a book that fits in to that category – for example, January 2022 will have a theme of ‘New beginnings’ and we will be asking you to read a book from a debut author.

Monthly reading themes

  • January: New beginnings – read a book by a debut author
  • February: The look of love – read a love story
  • March: Oscar season – read an award winning book
  • April: April Fools – read something funny
  • May: Binge Watch – read a book that inspired a hit TV show
  • June: Read With Pride – Read a book by a LGBTQ+ author (or featuring a LGBTQ+ main character).
  • July: School’s Out – Read a young adult book
  • August: Summer escape – read a book set in a country you’d love to visit.
  • September: Go digital – read something from St Helens Digital Library (BorrowBox or Libby)
  • October: Spooky season – brave a horror or thriller read

There’s no prize, it’s just for fun!
